There’s no way around it, sales are the lifeblood of your business.
No matter what stage of growth you are in, revenues are your top priority and the key to your survival and long-term success.
How can I be so sure?
With each of our 7 business startups, never did we infuse them with a chunk of cash. Instead, we bootstrapped it, challenge ourselves to get the revenues flowing as quickly as possible. Without deep pockets or high-limit credit cards, we became scrappy, resourceful and all-out courageous. Not just to pay ourselves, but to have the money we needed to fund the vision we were all working toward.
Clean Up Your Energy And Increase Your Sales
But here’s the rub, sales is not just about having a great product, pricing it appropriately and then marketing it well. There is an “energy around sales” that is either working for you or against you.
When your energy around sales is healthy and service-driven, you create an air of positivity and abundance that draws people and opportunities to you. When your energy is off and coming from a place of lack or fear, you’ll repel people and opportunities like the plague.
The Energetics of Sales Continuum
To help clients (and myself) remain mindful of how our energy impacts our success in sales, I created something I call the Energetics of Sales Continuum. Think of this as a spectrum.
How about you? On the sales energy continuum, where do you land?
What’s the energy you are holding around marketing and sales? Is it open, expansive and comes from a place of excitement and service? Or is it closed, restrictive and comes from a place of heaviness and desperation?
If you are closer to the left side (restricted) than the right (expansive), it’s not your fault. Chances are you have never been guided through the process of cleaning up your energy around sales. The good news is, we can start today.
The first step is to get your feelings about marketing and sales in alignment with your core values, so that it feels good when you are taking action. This is an internal shift that keeps you focused on the positive, purposeful and service-driven acts that allows you to deliver value, create meaningful connections and find those you are here to serve.
